Arvest Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of MAS Energy, founded by Léopold JACQUES.

Manutention Assistance Services SA (MAS Energy) specializes in chargers and batteries for the handling sector. Without a doubt, a company active in the energy storage sector has bright days ahead. We are proud to take over the torch and develop this gem based on Léopold's great expertise in optimizing recharges and energy storage.

M.A.S. Energy is a Liège-based company active for over 30 years in the design and maintenance of battery charging and storage solutions in an industrial environment.

Founded in 1990 by Léopold Jacques, the company initially focused on the sale of hydraulic pumps and hangar doors. Driven by a passion for the profession and the ambition to offer increasingly efficient solutions, the team quickly embarked on the design of custom electric carts with the goal of offering unmatched quality and longevity.

Léopold then trained in Fronius Perfect Charging technology, which takes into account the technical and chemical specifics of batteries to provide exceptional performance. Indeed, this patented technology reduces energy costs and CO2 emissions by 34% while maximizing battery life.

Over time, Léopold and his team have developed a unique expertise, recognized throughout the country and beyond, which allows them to regularly innovate to offer their clients ever more relevant solutions. M.A.S. Energy has thus designed specific automata (sequencers) that significantly improve the safety of battery charging. Concurrently, the company is studying the valorization of solar energy for a more global approach to the energy embedded in forklifts and is working on an energy hub project to avoid outages in case of overproduction (increasingly observed with the intensification of photovoltaic installations).

In terms of sustainability, the company works with lead batteries - recyclable 8 times, unlike other materials - and uses proven technologies that, on the one hand, significantly extend the life of batteries (from 4 to 12 years) and, on the other hand, reduce maintenance downtime by nearly 85% for an unmatched return on investment.

M.A.S. Energy is mainly active in the industrial basin of Liège but also has some important clients in Brussels, the province of Luxembourg, and Germany.

In the spring of 2023, a few months before retirement, Léopold Jacques decided to gradually pass the torch to a new generation of equally passionate entrepreneurs and engineers.

In the short term, the priority is to ensure the transition, to continue the activities of design, maintenance, consulting, and training, and to expand the clientele at the level of forklifts, pallet trucks, automated clarks (AGV), stationary batteries, etc.
But the growth potential is significant given the increasing energy needs and the technical and sustainable characteristics of lead. Moreover, the new team shares the same passion for innovation. That's why M.A.S. Energy also intends to realize the projects currently under study (valorization of embedded energy and energy hub against outages) through possible partnerships.

While the company is already well-established in Wallonia, M.A.S. Energy intends to become THE reference in energy storage in Belgium - and possibly in France and Germany - while maintaining a human-sized company, close to customers and their needs, capable of offering customized, high-quality, relevant, and innovative solutions.
